Where It All Began
Every company has an origin story. Ours starts on a sports field in Beaumont, Alberta — a small town just south of Edmonton where community, sport, and family have always been at the centre of everything.
Our head office is still in Beaumont today. And it backs directly onto J.E. Lapointe School field — the same field where our founder Kyle grew up. His grandfather lived on that school sports field. Kyle spent his entire childhood there — playing, competing, and learning what it means to bring people together through sport. It's where the seed of Orbis Sports Canada was planted long before the company ever existed.
Some businesses are built in boardrooms. Ours was built on a field.
2014 — A Dream, a Bubble, and a Whole Lot of Hope
In late 2014 and into early 2015, Orbis Sports Canada launched with almost nothing — just a set of Bubble Soccer suits, an unshakeable belief in the power of active play, and the kind of stubborn optimism that every entrepreneur needs to survive their first year.
There was no fleet of equipment. No corporate clients. No established brand. Just a young company from Beaumont, Alberta asking a simple question: what if we could bring the fun directly to people, wherever they are?
That question became our entire business model.
The Mobile Model Was Born Out of Necessity — and It Changed Everything
From day one, Orbis Sports Canada didn't have a fixed venue. We couldn't afford one. And honestly? We didn't want one.
Instead of asking people to come to us, we went to them. We loaded up the equipment, drove to parks, school fields, community spaces, and backyards, and set up wherever the event was happening. It was scrappy. It was hard work. And it turned out to be the best decision we ever made.
The mobile model meant we could serve Beaumont, Leduc, Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, and every community in between — without anyone needing to travel to a fixed location. We removed the barrier between people and a great experience. And communities responded.
We didn't build a venue. We built a model that made every field, park, and parking lot a venue.
The Communities That Built Us
🏡 Beaumont, Alberta — Home Base
Beaumont is where Orbis Sports Canada was born and where our roots run deepest. The tight-knit community here gave us our first events, our first word-of-mouth referrals, and the confidence to grow. We are a Beaumont company, and we always will be.
📍 Leduc, Alberta
Just minutes from Beaumont, Leduc was one of our earliest and most loyal markets. The Leduc community embraced Bubble Soccer and mobile entertainment from the very beginning, and they've been part of our story ever since.
📍 Edmonton, Alberta
Edmonton — the big city just north of home — opened up a world of opportunity. Corporate clients, community festivals, school events, and private bookings across the city helped Orbis Sports Canada grow from a small-town startup into a Western Canada operation.
📍 Sherwood Park, Alberta
Sherwood Park's active, family-oriented community was a natural fit for everything we offered. Events here helped us refine our model and build the kind of reputation that travels by word of mouth.
📍 St. Albert, Alberta
St. Albert brought us into contact with some of the most enthusiastic community event organizers we've ever worked with. The energy at St. Albert events is always electric.
From Bubble Soccer to a Full Mobile Entertainment Company
What started with a single activity — Bubble Soccer — has grown into a full mobile entertainment operation offering:
- ⚽ Zorb Soccer — where it all began
- 🎯 Mobile Laser Tag — our most popular offering
- 🏹 Archery Tag — the tactical game that challenges everything
- 🎮 Fun Fitness & Wellness Activities
- 💥 Custom event experiences for corporate, community, and private groups
Every single one of these activities is delivered the same way we delivered that first Bubble Soccer game in 2014 — we come to you, we set up, we host, and we make it unforgettable.
Still Beaumont. Still Mobile. Still Growing.
More than a decade after those first games on the fields of Beaumont, Orbis Sports Canada now serves communities across Alberta and British Columbia — from Edmonton to Kelowna, from Vancouver Island to the top of Big White Ski Resort.
But our head office is still in Beaumont. We still back onto J.E. Lapointe field. And every event we run — no matter where in Western Canada it takes us — carries the same spirit that was born on that field.
Community. Movement. Play. Together.
